I have. Random outdoor cat walked over to me, demanded pets, it noticed a bird, killed the bird, and came back to me looking for more attention. I was not impressed.
The Fremen call it the Shai-Houndlud
We don't have kids so we make sure we have one happy spoiled longboye
Thanks! We really did have just a couple of minutes before the sun dropped below the horizon. My partner, Bowie, and I sprinted to the beach to get the shot :)
From there I leave it to the autofocus and burst mode and hope I have one keeper.
We do a Bowie calendar for friends and family (it's a great motivation to take photos). We were ready to send it to the printers, but last night we dropped this photo in for May.
So yeah, it'll be on about 35 walls ๐
Bowie can pull off any outfit
I'm shooting with a Sony APS-C camera and a sigma f2.8 18-50mm lens.
This was shot with natural light and no special equipment (besides the camera). I did a little work in Lightroom (lightweight Photoshop) but this is mostly as shot.
I got pretty lucky with the light here though.
Edit: I should add that I deleted about 70 photos from this mornings session. I shoot a lot and pray to the autofocus gods.
He's not known for his patience, so I made sure to give him a treat for waiting a few minutes while I got the shot

Love the lens. I hardly ever change it out.
At 18mm it can focus on something nearly touching the lens.
Though I've been tempted to try a dedicated macro lens.
Shooting with a mirrorless Sony APS-C camera
Nothing wrong with shooting with a phone though!
The bee had to fit me into it's buzzy schedule ๐
Honestly one of my favorite photos. Thanks so much!
