There are USB cables that do this now. Air capped machines need to be better about sanitizing USB.

Duck duck go is particularly bad at local searches and business data.

Back before Google gimped their own searches, Google was better at finding one-off things.

I've moved to SearXNG, which still makes my local searches suck, But the results are usually much better than DDG.

It's not going to burst, it's an incredible marketing opportunity that will invade our privacy until and unless we make it illegal. Every screen, camera, vehicle, tool will call home and report everything about you so that the company that sold you the item can make a buck.

I have a long involved horror story that led up to me needing a root canal that I decided not to post here because it probably isnt nteresting to anybody but me.

For the most part, a root canal is kind of minor. They numb your gums where they're going to inject a numbing agent, then they inject a numbing agent, worst case they go a little nutso and try to inject a few places in there but the pain is there and gone in 5 seconds. If at any point you feel pain they can do a better job of numbing you. Honestly, any pain caused in the numbing process goes away pretty quickly when they successfully do it.

They poke around, there's a little drilling, some bad smell maybe heat maybe cold a lot of spitting out little sandy chunks of debris. If the tooth is still in pretty good shape they just pack it back up and you're good to go.

If you end up needing a crown there's a good bit more drilling a good bit more spitting a good bit more smoke. But it's really just the same thing prolonged.

It won't kill you, it will annoy you and it's marginally unpleasant, The anxiety of being there in the anxiety of not knowing what's going on is much worse than the actual procedure. Meditate, chill, roll with it you'll be fine.

“the guardrails of our democracy barely held in 2020

The guardrails only held because of the gross mismanagement of the insurgency. If we don't clear house on the SCOTUS and put strong voting protections in place in every state, it's a matter of when, not if they take it over by force.

I'm more concerned with the things we had a few years ago that are now gone, and the new fascist hand me downs that are popping up everywhere.

Just an inch thick plastic box with a perspective drawing sticker on top of it, But the box is shaped to fit the perspective drawing.

I really miss it honestly. Kids, so, so many batteries in my house.

Dad, my blah blah blah isn't working right. Then I have to go dig out this monster:

Cats, and apparently capybaras are an invasive species on social media. I don't hate them or anything but they show up everywhere in places they have new business being.

spoilerDamn they got down to business right away! Loved the humor. Love the story, Cheezy streaming refs went on a little long. Fry, Leela and the Professors Voicing had a few rough spots that wouldn't have happened in the last incarnation, it honestly kinda reminded me of some of the early voicing in season 1. John DiMaggio's performance was flawless. I love that they kinda mixed in a small anthology, had most of the people make cameos.

Aparently, I've conflated Level with Plumb, the walls cannot be parallel and plumb. Due to the curve, the center of gravity for the walls would require them to angle in slightly together or not be plumb.
