AIPAC and Citizens United are actually frightening.

They are able to change the outcome of races with seemingly unlimited money. A spend of 8.4 million in a Missouri primary is absurd, and likely is a drop in the bucket of what is spent influencing the presidential race.

I don't think there is a way to fix this either, since the people that should be writing laws to prevent it are the ones benefiting the most.

I imagine this is also happening in Republican primaries, so one can't just vote differently to address the root cause. Both republicans and Democrats seem to be tripping over each other to prove what a friend they are to Israel. It's really weird and stressful to be a US citizen right now.

I was always torn over what TV brand to buy. This helps narrow it down further.

They will certainly succeed at driving some people away. I was a lifetime Windows user and I currently don't have it installed on any of my machines now. I think the average Joe is blissfully unaware other than the occasional dialog about a new feature coming their way.

I think they are going to lose more of the hardcore tech community with decisions like these, but I don't know that they care.

Hotels are pretty nice. They come to make up your room, they have a nice person at the front desk to help you out with any issues, and they will usually have a breakfast option or at least some free coffee.

Airbnb has a lot of potential downsides: from cleaning and fees to broken stuff and hidden cameras. I've been in a few situations that have been weird to put it mildly.

Sometimes weird can be fun, but if I just want a clean bed and a reliable experience, I go to the hotel these days

I think him wearing an oversized bandage for as long as he did supports your hypothesis.

So many apps use sqlite or json files for storage without encryption; this doesn't seem like much of a discovery.

In any case, don't share PII or any of your deepest, darkest secrets with it.

I get on my VPN to provide less data to Google. Routing my traffic through an advertising company always felt like a bad idea to me.

The problem is that companies like Intuit have resources/lobbyists and really want to maintain their position in the market.

Your system sounds wonderful though.

The CSV cells are escaped with quotes. So just maybe throw some quotes in too. Unbalanced for style points. It won't defeat a CSV library, but might break a script kiddie

I'd love to see her run for President.

Raw dogging shared gym equipment is nasty. I'd rather a stranger's butthole not be directly on a bench I'm going to use in the future.
