Has anyone tried using this with the Jellyfin TV web interface? It would take a little setup but theoretically you could use a Bluetooth remote and the web interface for a simple TV.

What? I don't have any doubt you can read a timestamp.

You install it and then save a copy of the disk. This is very similar to a VM template so I will just link instructions for that. The difference is you are using physical hardware.

It is kinda painful and the repos are very slow

Don't buy them off of Amazon. Find some place a little more reputable. You want some sort of legally valid warranty plus seller protection

That's how public websites work...

The problem with gimp 2 is that it depends on python2 which is EOL

That's how encrypted messagers work. Anyone can use then for any purpose. It is actually very reassuring that it has become so popular. Just to be clear I am not endorsing Neo Nazis.

Also I like how Simplex Chat doesn't have user facing identifiers. (People can't DM you)

The only concern I have is the public group chats but because I don't use that feature it isn't a big deal for me personally.

I hope this goes without saying but please do not run this on machines you don't own.

The good news:

  • the exploit seems to require user action

The bad news:

  • Device Firewalls are ineffective against this

  • if someone created a malicious printer on a local network like a library they could create serious issues

  • it is hard to patch without breaking printing

  • it is very easy to create printers that look legit

  • even if you don't hit print the cups user agent can reveal lots of information. This may be blocked at the Firewall

TLDR: you should be careful hitting print

Is Pine64 dead? (lemmy.zip)

I haven't heard anything in months. Maybe there is legal trouble?

SS7 is vulnerable to attack. However, the types off attacks on the video don't affect Signal as it requires a pin. (Make sure you set your pin to something strong and secure)
