It's a war of attrition that Ukraine is losing because they have a much smaller population to draw on and rely on weapons from the west. Ukraine is already conscripting children, women, and the elderly now. It's absurd to think that such conscripts are going to be able to hold off a seasoned professional army for long.
Indeed, liberalism is just a precursor of fascism https://orgrad.wordpress.com/articles/liberalism-the-two-faced-tyranny-of-wealth/
We already know you're an idiot, you don't need to convince us further.
Imagine being such an utter ignoramus to believe that communism fails.
One of the core problems with capitalism is that it's fundamentally based on growth and consumerism. Companies need to constantly sell products in order to continue to operate and this leads to things like planned obsolescence where goods are intentionally manufactured to break so that new ones could be sold. This is just one of countless examples of perverse incentives that capitalism creates.
On the other hand, socialism creates a completely different incentive structure. Things are produced based on societal needs, and producing things is seen as a cost. This creates incentive to make things that last, and that can be repaired. Here's a great article explaining how this worked in practice in USSR.
So, while socialism alone doesn't ensure sustainability, it doesn't create perverse incentives that capitalism creates, and it makes it possible to have a sustainable economy.
All the liberal scumbags downvoting. Imagine being the kind of piece of shit that cheers on a war and then doesn't even want to look at what the result of that war is on the people of the country. All of you are the definition of human garbage.
Yes, the boomers got theirs, young people today don't have the same prospects. What part of that are you struggling with?
It's not, and plenty of western media has covered this extensively. Not only that, but it's becoming increasingly unpopular politically to keep pouring money into Ukraine. US elections are coming up, and democrats aren't going to want this debacle of a war hanging over them as they campaign. You're free to believe whatever fantasies you like of course, but the reality is going to become clear very soon.
Seems like the level of loss is going to be higher given that Ukrainian army is far from best-equipped or best trained. And if simply breaching through a line of defence is going to deplete the army by at least half, then that doesn't bode well. Western countries have sent all they had to Ukraine at this point, once this equipment is ground down, it can't be easily replaced.
Russia did war game it, and in fact everything could've been negotiated back in March last year if US and UK didn't block the deal.
