This is what being addicted to ever-growing profit looks like. They could still make mountains of profit with the new minimum wage, but they can't make as much profit as they did before.
To add on here, you can use the Are We Anti-Cheat Yet? site to track which games are not working due to anti-cheat. In my experience it's extremely rare for "Linux" (aka Wine/DXVK/VKD3D/et al) to not support arbitrary games. If a game is not working on Linux it's almost certainly because of an anti-cheat or some bloated/obscure DRM telling Linux "no you cannot run this".
"Project Silica’s goal is to write data in a piece of glass and store it on a shelf until it is needed. Once written, the data inside the glass is impossible to change."
Very important note here.
I'm not really in the loop on this but can someone ELI5 why Alex Jones is the only one that's being forced to pay money for the shit that comes out of his mouth? It seems like everyone else is doing whatever they want with no repercussions.
The main thing I don't get is that the top talent at your company are the ones that can easily find another job instead of putting up with your BS. The people that aren't competent enough to leave on a whim are the ones you're going to be keeping.
I know it's not exactly the point of the post but I want to go on a tangent and note that it's 100% valid for kids to complain about school even if you have it harder. You should take their feelings seriously because their feelings are just as real to them as you hating your job is to you. When a toddler spills their juice and starts crying, those feelings are just as intense as yours, and you should respond accordingly instead of thinking "don't they know about the wars in the middle east?"
I'll get 2% cashback.
This is a rare and extreme case, which is probably caused by some sort of fluke in the testing method or due to a bug in the game that Linux is handling better. Usually gaming on Linux is like ~5-10% slower for GPU-bound games.
Laser printers are great also if you just need black.
Maintaining existing CSS is hard. Luckily, usurping all of social media as an "everything app" will be trivial by comparison.
Grats on Arch Linux install, S-tier distro for what it attempts to accomplish.
It feels like there needs to be a category in between conservative and paranoid. I'm probably 90% of the way over to tech paranoid but using Tor Browser and Tails is a little much.
I've seen a trend where people move the goalposts on the reasons they're not able to switch. "If only this program worked I could switch", but when that program is ported it'll be a new excuse next. Sooner or later you'll have to draw a line and say "99% of my stuff works, the 1% that doesn't can get bent".
