There was no evidence presented, no charges filed - yet he still apologized for his actions, admitted he may have pressured the women further than they were comfortable with, went to therapy, did a 12 step program, and seems to have stopped the behavior. What else do ppl want him to do?

When you turn on your PC and notice that there’s a huge Christmas banner on your desktop, do not panic – your device is not compromised.

Hah, well a vendor just pushed unapproved executable to the device and ran it without consent. Under any definition or other context it's definitely compromised.

Jeep used to be a treasured American brand. But after Stellantis bought the iconic brand, workers say execs slashed jobs and quality to drive up profits. Now customers say the new $80,000 Jeep Wagoneer has mechanical issues fresh off the lot.

Video dives deeper than problems with the new jeep highlighting worker grievances on the line, customer experience failures and union struggles.

There's an occasional error popup during playback, but the feeds and video still work here. I'm on Grayjay v268 w/ Patreon v17

My biggest issue is Peertube tbh, discovery is difficult, border line useless.

Grayjay mobile is awesome, very much looking forward to checking this out. Love how it puts all my YouTube, Patreon, Twitch and Peertube content in one place.

NSFW not always blurred? (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) by CaptDust@sh.itjust.works to c/voyagerapp@lemmy.world

I'm not sure if this a bug in the new version or something else at play, but several explicitly marked NSFW posts in my feed have been unblurred as I scroll today. It's not every post, just some. Viewing the comments and backing out blurs the image correctly. Might be worth investigating.

V 2.20 on Android

Edit: enough ppl in this thread confirming, I'll get a GitHub issue opened after dinner.

Project: https://github.com/asimons04/tesseract

Demo: https://tesseract.dubvee.org

What it is:

Tesseract is a Sublinks/Lemmy client designed for media-rich feeds and content. It's an alternative front-end that can be hosted on the sh.itjust.works servers side-by-side with the current interface, similar to how oldsh.itjust.works operates.

In addition to the overall improved user experience, it also has enhancements for moderators and instance admins. These are worth checking out, I quite like the modlog.

What I like about it:

  • Improved Media Support in Feed and Posts
  • Community Browser / Enhanced Discovery
  • Better Moderation Tools than Lemmy-UI
  • Alternate Sources Menu (All link posts have a dropdown menu next to the link which contains alternate links to the post URL from Ghost Archive, 12ft, and Archive Today.)

Try it:

An open, public demo instance is available at tesseract.dubvee.org. Try it with your favorite Lemmy instance by changing settings in the Demo Account Page.

Proposal:

I believe this front-end should be included and hosted by SJW as an option, under a unique subdomain.

Hi, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to crosspost from communities on other instances (ie. Lemmy.ml/c/linux) to communities on my instance (sh.itjust.works/c/linux), the local community does not appear as an option. Even when I try to type in the fully qualified community name it will not show up.

This does not seem to happen with every community, and I think maybe it has something to do with a large number of results truncating smaller communities from the list?

If anyone has a workaround or can help me understand how to crosspost better, I'd much appreciate it.

My domestic cats seem to locate any open available cardboard box and happily plop themselves into it. This got me thinking, would outdoor cats settle into a random box they find as easily too? What about big cats?

Edit- fixed title

Returning and finding everything done is equally suspicious. That's when you have to take a closer look and discover what spaghetti made it through peer review.

Obviously, why wouldn't he? This is potentially the dumbest argument ever heard in a court room and we're all supposed to sit here and entertain its plausibility. What a joke.

The protests are that much more notable because the pharmacists don't have a union and aren't asking for better pay. They primarily want their employers to hire more staff to alleviate the workload and to eliminate policies that push them to work faster. They say those conditions are making it more likely they will make a mistake that could harm a patient.

Highlighting because people don't read articles - they are protesting to ensure patients are safe from the speed of greed. I for one would like my medication properly compounded and dosed. Good for these workers, get them more hands.
