I use Linux Mint Debian edition, Librewolf browser, and Mullvad VPN. How do I become less unique?

The W and R keys don't work on my ASUS vivobook flip 14 and I would like to fix them so I can give the laptop to a friend. The reason they stopped working is because I spilled water on them a long time ago. Other than that, the laptop works perfectly fine.

I saw some teardown videos for an entire keyboard replacement for it, but it looks wayyyyyy too complicated and easy to mess up. I have expierence replacing stuff like batteries and SSDs in computers.

Is there a way to replace/fix those two keys without taking out the entire motherboard?

I'm looking for an FOSS alternative to google forms that doesn't require people to sign in. If anybody has a suggestion that would be much appreciated

A friend of mine mentioned that a much more efficient way to distro hop is to do it in a VM rather than boot an ISO every time. I've only ever used WINE and am unsure how to go about doing this.

What's the best way to try distro hopping and what are some easy-ish distros to try out temporarily?

I've been using Linux Mint Debian edition for a while now and am happy with it on my main machine, but want to try out some others on my spare just to make sure there's not another one that I like more.

I'm thinking of getting a fairphone in the future. I like that they are modular and last a while. Are they easily customizable to where I can flash a different ROM? Is the default configuration private?

I'm impressed at how obvious of a lie this is and how hard they're trying to do mental gymnastics to justify their argument.

I have a thinkpad T480 with LMDE and up until about two months ago it would work with this Samsung commercial display TV, although it never played audio from the TV like it was supposed to.

Now when I plug in the HDMI cable the screen turns black (not blue, which is when there's no signal). If I go into display it shows that the TV is connected.

I know that this isn't a hardware issue because I've used the same HDMI cable and laptop on a different TV and it worked fine. xrandr also says that HDMI-2 is connected.

I am looking for an FOSS alternative to InqScribe that will work on Linux. InqScribe is software used for making transcripts of audio. It essentially allows you to have an audio file and text beside each other and make timestamps in the text based on the audio playing. I don't need anything fancier than that.

I'm curious what the difference is between Balenca etcher and Ventoy for writing isos to a live USB for distro hopping purposes. I see both recommended in fourms. Is there any advantage to using one over the other? Are they both equally safe/secure?

I'm also curious about trying out new distros. I've been using LMDE for about a year now and it's been fine, but I want to expand my knowledge and see whether LMDE is my favorite distro or not. I'm not the most well versed in Linux and don't have any prior programming experience so a beginner/mid level distro is what I'm looking for. I want something I can test out without connecting to WiFi (so not arch).

Someone gave me a Hisense C11 Chromebook and I'm wondering if there's absolutely anything I can do with it. It seems like a piece of junk and the Linux stuff I've seen for Chromebooks specify that they don't work with the ARM processor. Is there any distro that would work on it? Any other ideas about how to repurpose it?

Note: I don't have direct access to an Ethernet cable/router for setup. Also don't have the most technical knowhow.
