X is unfit for everything except sightseeing a dumbsterfire.

dumbsterfire

can't tell if intentional or not.

Bit of both...

[-] Got_Bent@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago

There are not many worse decisions I can think of making than to let Elon touch my money.

But then, that likely is irrelevant. I suspect the real intent is for whatever the hell he calls his company this week to act as a monetary laundromat.

Also, because they consistently chose not to follow laws?

Even dumber is banking with a company that doesn't pay their own bills.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Musk is such an idiot. Basically no one is going to bank via Twitter.

[-] tiltmachine@lemm.ee 19 points 1 year ago

Oh boy, can't wait to see people show you how dumb they really are.

Who is going to trust Twitter with their money at this point? Nazis? Fine, let them get ripped off.

Who is going to continue to use meta services at this point? They meddled in elections and advertise scam.

The answer is:everybody. They really trust him, dumb fucks.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

This is specifically about Musk's Twitter. Who trusts Elon at this point? He's destroyed it.

Would people do banking through Facebook or even TikTok? Definitely.

Thats my point, they would but they shouldn’t. People are definitely dumb enough to trust twitter with their money. They bought NFTs for fucks sake.

I am not a betting man and I can't predict the future, but I would wager that fewer people would trust Twitter as a bank than would pay them $8 a month for a blue checkmark, which will probably be required to use it as a bank.

[-] aeternum@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

eh, Meta tried to venture out into other things other than social media (per se). They tried facebookmail.com and no one took it up, probably because they don't trust him. Not sure on that one.

If you do business with a bank that can't pay its bills, well, you're just stupid.

Come on obviously there's nobody stupid enough to trust Musk, a dude who just turned $44 billion into $4 billion, with their money.

Oh wait what? People donate to billionaires?

Well I stand corrected. There's always stupid people.
