I suspect that some found alternative platforms, some broke their doomscroll habits and are doing other things now, and the vast majority just slinked back to reddit because adhering to principles is hard for most people.
Reddit is honestly such a toxic cesspool of Western media perspectives. I'm not sure how I ever dealt with it.
It's a shame it's not more active. I'm from Toronto but Vancouver is my most visited city, I love that city, and definitely wouldn't mind a ton of Vancouver content on my feed.
