If you can find me a better way to acquire a 20x Queen sheet Iโ€™m all ears.

I call it a queens harem sheet.

[-] JickleMithers@kbin.social 41 points 1 year ago

But why do you need such a large sheet?

[-] tacosplease@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

For cat and mouse and other such parachute games

Fair enough. I was thinking you stitched 20 queen size mattresses together too lol.

Now OP needs to create a 20x sized washing machine.

But because of this one life hack, it's just one that's all dirty.

If they weren't so thoughtfully put together as such, then they'd all be dirty.

People still wondering just what the fuck it's for hate this one hack.

I remember this "theorem"(?) about how is impossible to fold a paper sheet more that 6 times and this lady glt herself a gigantic thin sheet and folded it like 8 times. OP, fold that and told us how many folds you get.

[-] canthidium@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

Mythbusters debunked this, although they used a football field sized sheet and forklifts, but they were able to fold it 11 times. The myth they tested was 7 times being impossible.

[-] bstix@feddit.dk 11 points 1 year ago

Another myth is that because the thickness doubles on every fold that it would reach the moon before you could fold it .. X times.

I'm bored, so I figured it out. A thin piece of office paper (0.05 mm) would need to folded 43 times to reach the moon.

The world record is 12.

Iirc it was toilet paper. Nice aspect ratio for such shenanigans.

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.
