Until just recently, I felt that Google had the world of translations in a chokehold, but having discovered DeepL, you can see that there are excellent alternatives available. As someone that has all Web Activity off, it was never about the ecosystem but the ability. An app like this that provides multiple options and some great ones at that, this seems a no-brainer.

I'd been using the website. I tried to use it through the app and it started asking for an API key. That's a shame, the translations are really really good.

i'm more concerned about privacy side and that's why I use Lingva, but having alternatives is important, I completely agree!
