You could maybe try self hosting it? Must say I tried but gave up in the end, and I'd like to hear about something like Vikunja because it really seems nice
I'd love it but really if I could self-host an Nextcloud instance I wouldn't self-host Vikunja, what I like about Vikunja is that in Bitwarden-style they take care of everything once you pay them, you don't worry about managing anything else.
Yeah, I like that too but for now it's too expensive for me. And the selfhosting part is much too complicated (as usual)
This tutorial worked pretty well for me under Docker:
https://vikunja.io/docs/docker-walkthrough/
I've been using vikunja that way for a month or so now.
I might try it on my work pc. The thing that doesn't work for me is truecharts on truenas, just can't get it to work and there are no docs.
I host my own nextcloud instance. But for to do lists I like and love Wekan. Wekan is also free and open-source. https://wekan.github.io/
It looks interesting, although it's more a kanban than a ToDO, or I'm wrong?
For ToDo my old faithful is todo.txt. I love Sleek on Linux/Windows, and 2do.txt on ios. Sync via Dropbox.
2do.txt? Is that a app?
Yes, you can find it on the ios app store.
Currently i use my Nextcloud instance with the Tasks App but i look for something like Vikunja myself. Last weekend i tried to install mmdl on my server but unfortunately i got an error. It is labeld as alpha and got a new release last week so i hope i can test it this weekend. https://intri.in/manage-my-damn-life/
