Art games? (lemmy.ml)

Other than Mario Paint were there any other art games for the old consoles? I tried some internet searches but came up empty handed.

Here's one for the Genesis/Mega Drive: https://segaretro.org/Wacky_Worlds

Art Alive for the Genesis fits the bill.

It was in pc, so not a console game but it was called KidPix I think and it was pretty cute. Lots of funny brushes and you could even make simple sprite animations

I can still hear "Oops!" and "Oh no!" For the undo button clearly in my head to this day - Kid Pix was the shit in middle school lmao

The Atari 2600 game Surround had a mode where you could draw pictures on the screen

Acme Animation Factory has a drawing program and works with the same mouse as Mario Paint.

There was a Tiny Tunes cartoon maker as well.

"Fun N Games" on Sega Genesis includes a really fun art program. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wdhHt4wo9NQ

This might not be as old as you're looking for, but there was a really good homebrew painting program for DS called Colors. It even had pressure sensitivity on DS and DS Lite (but not DSi or 3DS consoles because their touch screens just didn't have that feature).

There were some Korg music creators on DS and 3DS.

i'd suggest emulating an Amiga for art creation apps. Deluxe Paint IV, Brilliance, Octamed, Audiomaster, Caligari, Lightwave, etc.

Thanks! This is almost exactly what I am looking for, except I'd like to be able to use it via my Anbernic RG280V. I know it can emulate an Amiga, but I was hoping to find something that would work with game pad controls.
