Wish full thinking but maybe now more products will use less sugar. A lot of brands use way to much sugar in all different kinds of food. For example most cakes we bake at home are at least as sweat as the ones bought for the store but have way less total sugar in them.

I have a theory those low sodium chips that have been coming out are just chips with how much salt is supposed to be on them and downsizing forced Lays to lay off the damn volume lol

“Supposed to be”. For health, or for taste? There is no doubt salt makes potato chips taste better.

I think the low sodium ones taste better.

But sweat has natural salt, so it counteracts the sugar.

They’ll just use more high fructose corn syrup

Seems like most products use corn syrup anyway. But there are some drinks I like that use cane sugar.

Computing power and storage! By the day. It's but a silver lining with regards to the price hikes of everything all around, but it's something

[-] avater@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

but for that you need power right, and the power prices are also rising...
