Republicans blush at the amount of bans and cancellations of culture Russia is pushing out. The way Putin is dictating their citizens on how to live and what to say is the wet dream of the republican party.

‘Moscow bans being outside while not being Vladimir putin in rare relaxation of tough being-outside rules’

The most hilarious thing I read about was the Navalny city service line...

If you needed snow cleared or a pothole repair, spray paint "Навальный" on it, make sure someone notices and posts to social media and your issue will be resolved before you could say "СССР".

Barcodes that can accept text (Besides QR):

  • Aztec
  • Data Matrix
  • Code 128
  • PDF417

Most Barcode scanners included in Android and iOS can't read them though. I know at least for Data Matrix, only a few scanners can handle them.

I hate that the OG barcode scanner doesn't work on my pixel anymore.

Another useful Google app killed.

I use Binary Eye now, no ads, free and open source. It is built on zxing. I was a bit pissed when zxing scanner stopped working a few years ago. All the alternatives where ad infested crap back then.

Thanks for the recommendation! Yeah I can't stand the ad infested barcode readers now. I've actually considered buying a dedicated Bluetooth barcode reader.

"QR codes that serve as an online link contain various information and are prone to changes, which can violate the federal Law on Advertising," writes Ivan Shubin, head of the city administration's media department, adding: "especially considering increased hacker attacks and website breaches."

So, are they banning all urls in billboards?

Carry a roll of QR codes and slap them on Putin's propaganda.

It will be stickers with QR codes next, followed by QR codes in general.
