i deleted an app and chose to keep its data saved, then i installed a newer apk. it asks me if i want to 'update' rhe app, not 'install' it. i select to update an app that isnt even installed and it then says it cant due to 'App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package.' so to re-cap, i saved the data from an app and now i cant find out how to delete the data thats causing my phone to think i already have an older, conflicting version. i went to files/android/data and uninstalled it there too but that did nothing. advice?

Wiping your cache partition probably wont help, but seems like it's worth a try.

The solution would be to find the original, reinstall it and properly remove it, but if it came from the store that may not be an option...
