So he opened his church to the unhoused during freezing weather, was offered a citation for doing so, refused to stop and is now facing charges.

Yeah, the fact that he even has to waste time and money on this bullshit should have the D.A. immediately disqualified ever serving in the role again. What a fucking waste of time and resources.

It happens a lot. Place near me got hit a year or two ago. Bad storm, and our only shelter wasn’t big enough. Had a church put people in their gym and boom, prosecuted.

There's a lot wrong with this post. I can fix the first problem, that the linked article is behind a paywall. Here's a working version of the article.

But also, this isn't a news article, it's an opinion piece. Does this sublemmy not have a ban on opinion articles? By definition, they are never newsworthy. They're certainly not held to any journalistic standards, as they aren't journalism.

I think this is a primary-source news article about this pastor.
