2035 is too far away - the CPC will undo everything if they get a chance.

That's the idea. Liberals can say they took action by setting all kinds of targets in order to win support. They don't care if the targets are actually met.

How about maybe seeking input from people with actual, concrete expertise in the relevant fields on what can be done today, tomorrow, etc to, you know, actually meet the damned goals!
