But they did though I literally read headlines that said an attack is imminent and us people should move and Canada told Canadians not to go to Gaza because they said that there was an attack that was imminent
They gave warning a week ahead of time it was coming, then gave warning shortly before it began...
Biden and Israel are mad they didn't get an exact time and location along with what was going to be used 72 hours prior...
Which is just fucking ridiculous. It's at the point we can't trust what the US government says regardless of if it's trump or Biden.
Everybody knew an attack was in the offing at t he end of Ramadan. They knew it was hours away, but not because Iran said anything. It was because our satellites saw them getting launchers ready. Our satellites also saw the launches, and could determine number and type.
Oh you can see all that shit but you couldn't see the Iranian Embassy you bombed? Hilarious. Well I ran has a right to defend itself against terrorists, so I guess suck it the fuck up.
They're playing battleship and complaining their opponents didn't give them ship locations.
One senior official in U.S. President Joe Biden's administration denied Amirabdollahian's statement, saying Washington did have contact with Iran through Swiss intermediaries but did not get notice 72 hours in advance.
So even Biden's admin admits they had warning...
They're just mad it wasn't 72 hours?
If they got 72 hours warning, they'd say it didn't count because it wasn't 96 hour notice.
They picked an arbitrary deadline for it to count as a "deadline" and they're ignoring that they were told a response was imment as well.
Iraqi, Turkish and Jordanian officials each said Iran had provided early warning of the attack last week, including some details.
Where the fuck was the notice when Israel attacked Iran's embassy?
America deserves better than trump or Biden, this shit is fucking embarrassing.
America deserves better than trump or Biden
Yes, you do.
But, the administration of every president in my living memory would likely have reacted the same way. There seems to be an impressive inertia in the USA's Middle East bullshit that seems to transcend president and party.

Obama really wasn't that long ago...
Like, I know I'm getting old, but it was only like 8 years ago, not even a decade yet
Ah yes, the famously anti-escalation Obama.
Better than Biden...
Thats my point. "Lesser of two evils" doesn't work, because the two choices keep getting more evil.
I was pissed at Obama the majority of his 8 years, but that doesn't mean he was worse than Biden.
Like, you do remember that Biden was paired with Obama by the DNC to counter his perceived progressiveness, right? Doesn't matter what lies he tells running for office, Biden was and is a backslide for the democratic party.
In terms of escalation? Obama absolutely was not better.
Obviously in the vast majority of other ways he was, but let's not pretend that Obama didn't have the option of ending the forever war instead of quadrupling down with the surge
The US would never lie, right?
~~Paywalled. Anyone got a summary?~~ Firefox reader view FTW.
Given Iran said they'd retaliate, and said when... there must be a technicality here. Like "it wasn't notified via the UN" or "they didn't email it to war@whitehouse.gov" or something.
WASHINGTON/BAGHDAD/DUBAI, April 14 (Reuters) - Turkish, Jordanian and Iraqi officials said on Sunday that Iran gave wide notice days before its drone and missile attack on Israel, but U.S. officials said Tehran did not warn Washington and that it was aiming to cause significant damage.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry said it had spoken to both Washington and Tehran before the attack, adding it had conveyed messages as an intermediary to be sure reactions were proportionate.
Yeah, technically. This is straight up a lie.
