on android long pressing links just "drags" them as if there was some place i could drop them, but i have found no such place.
i think a much more straightforward and useful feature would be to just offer to copy or open the link externally

The iOS behavior is nice already. If you could update the Android behavior without changing the iOS behavior, that would be appreciated.

I think it’s all provided by the OS or possibly Safari? I get basically the same thing with links in Safari:
