Another shameless theft of title and meme, unknown source. To add a personal touch: my bro just started a job with an insurance company where they talked him up about all the cutting edge work they're doing in AI, ML and statistical analysis. Yeah, it's just a bunch of Python scripts calling out to web services. They should have just said they're looking for a (possibly backend) developer.

It's funny how three or four AI models have become the equivalent of the electronics engineer's "jellybean parts." Need a little AI to get people to look at your company? Just grab one out of the jar!

That's how most things are in tech. Why reinvent the wheel when someone's already made it?

I personally love trying to break into any device running android and install our companies web crawler onto it. I almost got it working on my DJI drone remote. Sadly I don't think I'll be able to get into these Logitech Tap Scheduler things.

Yeah I've worked with a team that has a very impressive on prem solution, if you have the hardware. Most clients are comfortable with the privacy risk rather than the hardware spend.

A lot of such companies don't even bother hiding it, or sometimes even to finish their website. Just convince or bribe some manager at a big firm and you're in
