Reminder: they can be killed

Just wait till their get the technology to upload their brain to the internet.

Try killing the internet.

[-] pimento64@sopuli.xyz 21 points 4 weeks ago

I 100% guarantee that anything like that will actually just scan your brain, create a shitty NPC based on you, and electrocute you while you sit wondering when the upload is going to start.

Where do I sign up?

Because it's been a while since I've seen a reference to the teleportation paradox, obligatory NFB cartoon link: https://youtu.be/ocgFkHElzgQ
(Or if you prefer, and are able, to watch on the NFB website directly) https://www.nfb.ca/film/to_be/

Not on my top five list, tbh, but if thermonuclear war gets pegged down, it might have a shot at making it.

The aliens would have harvested our brains for their sexual experiments long before they let us destroy each other.

[-] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

I'd let an alien fuck my brain.

[-] sulgoth@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

We talking like through the ear holes or pulling the whole thing out and rawdogging it.

[-] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

You already made the sale bro

[-] Infomatics90@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 weeks ago

It’s only Class War when we fight back.

[-] slaacaa@lemmy.world 5 points 4 weeks ago

Exactly, currently it’s just class genocide/enslavery, with some of the working class applauding it

[-] slaacaa@lemmy.world 43 points 4 weeks ago

Very important message.

The investment banker getting paid 200k per year in NYC is still closer to being homeless, than being a millionaire.

If you need to work to live, you are working class.

Some of the working class is underpaid and struggle daily, while some have more money and live fairly easy (until they lose their job). The capitalists owning the companies we work at have nothing in common with us, and they like when we hate each other, instead of them or the system.

The investment banker getting paid 200k per year in NYC is still closer to being homeless, than being a millionaire.

They are a millionaire though. It's just that that means nothing anymore.

A million bucks is a million away from zero, but it's 999 million away from a billion.

[-] Huschke@lemmy.world 19 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

It's like the old saying goes "a millionaire is still about a billion dollars away from being a billionaire" .

[-] MystikIncarnate@lemmy.ca 8 points 4 weeks ago

Hey, I too am about a billion dollars away from being a billionaire. I suppose that means I'm a millionaire! Woo hoo

[-] NobodyElse@sh.itjust.works 7 points 4 weeks ago

Millionaires, thousandaires, and hundredaires are all about a billion dollars away from being billionaires.

[-] dulce_3t_decorum_3st@lemmy.world 5 points 4 weeks ago

And, unironically, those bankers are all raging capitalists— ever-chasing the end-of-rainbow-pot-of-gold mirage—who fly annually to a pretentious faux-hippy desert festival modelled on communism.

[-] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 4 points 4 weeks ago

Or they suck at their jobs and just want a paycheck like everyone else.

If I could get paid 500k I'd go be a banker and suck at it.

[-] feedum_sneedson@lemmy.world 0 points 4 weeks ago

He most likely is a millionaire. You presumably mean billionaire.

[-] DogWater@lemmy.world 17 points 4 weeks ago

This election in America was one side saying this to the other and then the other "owning us" by not listening

[-] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

That signature is not helping the message

[-] Infomatics90@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 weeks ago
