Three classic Call of Duty titles—Call of Duty + United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare—have recently appeared on the Microsoft Store for PC. These listings have fueled speculation that these titles could soon join Xbox Game Pass, following a similar pattern with other Activision Blizzard games such as Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

These classic titles align with Microsoft’s ongoing integration of Activision Blizzard games into their ecosystem after the company’s acquisition in October 2023. While no official announcements have been made, fans are anticipating that more legacy Call of Duty titles will be added to Game Pass soon.

Is your favourite Call of Duty on that list?

I'd love to play the original CoD:MW again. I'm not paying what they ask for the remaster. 40 € for the 2017 release is stupid expensive.

It went on sale for like $5 at one point, so I picked it up. When I logged in, there were only 11 people playing. I got in a few rounds of team D before logging off never to open it again

I'm only interested in the SP campaign.

I’m pretty sure that there are serious vulnerabilities in the netcode of the original MW that makes playing it online on PC unsafe. I haven’t ever seen an authoritative source confirm it however the last time I tried to play it online probably 4 years ago. There were all sorts of malicious redirects when trying to join servers from the browser

Sorry, I was referring to the remaster being on deep discount. I only ever played the original on xbox. Good to know that the PC version may be compromised.

I preferred Medal of honor during the time of CoD2, or I just had access to it with GameCube.
On PC I got performance issue on CoD2 or 3 doesn't remember so never played it.

And after it was only online gaming. Ive start and finish my CoD era on BlackOps. Preferred battlefield as license during those times too.

That's to high as price I guess tho

Medal of Honor was great, but you mostly fought alone. The innovation of the first call of duty was that you fought with a squad and it really added to the realism.

Oh yeah agree.
I was solo player back then with no internet in any case. Except for LANs.

When I played online to a fps, moh was already done like you said, and I started with CS and battlefield after. I just discovered CoD with black ops because my mates were on it.

But MOH solo campaign, I loved that.

I just meant, for single player, the first CoD gave you a bunch of AI squad mates. It’s not something they’ve necessarily carried in to the other games, but it really just added to the realism of the battles because you felt like you were one guy in a larger conflict. Medal of Honor was always a bit more solo focused, with a few exceptions, like you were one soldier taking on the whole German army.

Both were great though and I played the hell out of them.

I clearly did not understand that 😅😅

Medal of Honor was great until 2010. Every release was a certified slapper. My favorites were Allied Assault, Frontlines, Rising Sun, and Airborne. Then 2010 came out and really nosedove the series.

Call of Duty 1 was the first violent game my mom let me play. Good times.

I will always love United Offensive, it was the first game I ever played online. Modding the game got me into programming and managing servers led me to networking and got me to the career that I have today. I’m not a game pass subscriber but it would great for more people to be able to experience it
