Hello! Does anyone has any recommendations for a to-do list app? I would like one that had a widget for the home screen, that shows my tasks or reminders, so I can see them every time. Not to be confused with a widget to write a note. It doesn't needs to be open-source, but that would be very appreciated. Thanks for the help.

FOSS: Tasks.org

Closed source: Microsoft To Do

I hate Microsoft as much as the next regular tech-literate left-leaning person, but I would say their To Do app is still my favorite To Do list app for me, it hits the right mix of simplicity and customization for personal to do list.

Currently, I'm using both of these apps, but I will drop Microsoft To Do the moment Tasks.org has a dedicated desktop app and have no problem syncing across devices.

For regular to-do lists (like a shopping list) I use Google keep, and it has a widget that displays any list you want on the home screen. It also lets you share lists with others.

For tasks that need a date and time, I create tasks in Google calendar and they are automatically listed on the calendar widget

Google tasks is an option. You can run a multiple lists of tasks and have a widget on your home screen.
