Need a dead man’s switch app for everyone. Miss a switch? Server side alerts your selected contacts that your shit is all fucked up.
This sounds a lot like that website where you can enter your password to check if it has been compromised.
If you're talking about have I been pwned, that site is actually legit. They have an API that compares hashes and stuff. I hope this app is legit too, it could save millions of people.

It actually requests your password (vs email for HaveIBeenPwned) and checks it against rainbow tables. It doesn’t ask for other identifying information, so it’s okay, but feels super sketchy.
HIBP can check passwords. Some password managers integrate with it, like Bitwarden. Troy Hunt, the person behind HIBP ~~works at Microsoft~~ is a Microsoft MVP.

He is also a "Microsoft Regional Director". I thought that was a position at Microsoft, but after actually looking at it, it looks like you're correct.
MVP is really an employee, they are not aloud to be honest when giving advice that is not in Microsofts best interest. It's a farce.

Who said anything about cops? My money is migrant-hunting ~~vigilantes~~ militias. Probably a lot of cops among their ranks tho.

This is so their relatives know that they're being sucked into the US ICE void. It's a precaution to try and help ensure people don't "disappear" for good. There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of people becoming "mysteriously lost" after being detained by US authorities.
This isn't a Trump/GOP-only problem, but the GOP seem hell bent to make it even worse, so Mexico is preparing for that.
Oh I believe their good intentions, I just worry about people with bad intentions abusing it.

I mean it's by the Mexican government so it shouldn't be available to the people targeting migrants in the US.
Databases made by the mexican goverment can be easily bought in certain places around the capital and other states, and they are constantly being leaked to the narcos so... Yeah, this can easily go south very fast.
