Just got back from smelling the corpse flower. It smelt a little rotten, looked like I expected it to.
5090 GPUs almost here... New gaming rig time?
Passport photos acquired. Surprisingly painless. I love the people at the new LPO, they're so lovely and efficient!
Edit: actually I looked at my photo and it looks like I've got an ever so slightly smirk. Not too pronounced, it's certainly not a smile. But enough that if somebody was intentionally choosing to be a dick could call it non neutral. There's also a few Tufts of hair that blew into my face on the walk over. Hope they're not dicks about that either
I have had a few more hours of sleep
Yesterday I helped get a lost Teddy back home. I would like to spend this micro amount of karma on No Bank Fuckups.
dogs back from the vet. Shes scratched herself and got infected. shes such a good girl at the vet though! Does so well, unlike the other one.
I'm cleaning out my kitchen drawer and I found 8 vegetable peelers and 6 bottle openers. Time to be ruthless.
Anyone got any kitchen/cabinetry people they've worked with in the past and liked? All the edging on my cabinets is stained yellow and some of its starting to come unglued. Between that, some very minor water issues and a bit of rust in the oven i'm pondering if its worth a small touch up, or if I need to start saving up to gut it and start over.
Dont think I can keep chipping away and these minor issues 1 by 1.
Has anyone else walked through 101 Collins Street before? I swear you could set a Kubrick inspired horror movie in that foyer alone
Yep. Know it well. For a while, the State Revenue Office had it's customer service centre there (alas no longer extant). Went there a lot. Personally, I'd choose this spot to bury a few pharoahs for future reference.
All I'll say is if you run a Bluesky account for an entomological society and your posts aren't 90% awesome macro shots of cool insects then you are very much doing it wrong.
