Damn I thought it was more of an obscure release. This is awesome news though. Larian Games is a really high quality and passionate game company and they definitely deserve every dollar they get.
I'm a "patient gamer" and tend to hold off until a game is severly discounted, especially if its mired with a billion DLCs and other 'value adds'.
I didn't really think twice about throwing Larian full retail, good practices should be rewarded
i'm tempted. but i think the stupid download size puts me off as much as price.
i am glad i splurged on the biggest steamdeck, but still running out of space now .
i just need a low-res download option.
camaraderie , adventure and steel on steel. the stuff of legends , not 150gb of 4k, right boo?
Definitely agree. I have a huge backlog so it's hard for me to justify. But... Yeah lol, there are certainly games you break that rule. I also feel that way about Zelda and will instant buy the next one. TOTK was amazing.
I just want you to know that I hate your username.

How's the reception so far?
I haven't seen much of anything negative. People already had a lot of the early game from early access, and the comments there were a big part of why I bought it.
It's definitely AAA tier production-wise. The main story having cutscenes isn't mind blowing, but I've played maybe an hour and have seen 3-4 fully voiced and animated conversations so far. That's not inherently uncommon, but usually crpgs don't really do that, especially for minor side quests, and even other open world stuff that's not AAA can't do that much of it.
I've heard bad things about the coop experience which is sad because I was going to start playing this with my long time gaming buddy
Edit: most of them were fixed in the first hotfix. It's a joy to play
Game good. Game fun. Vampire boy sucks... Literally
Im a couple hours in now and im enjoying it. I dont know anything about dnd but enjoyed dos2 so i picked it up. Im delightfully surprised so far. Everything is so high quality and detailed. Idk how thatll hold into the later game but so far id recommend
