On Mastodon, you can go to the About page of an instance to see the servers that have been defederated/moderated and often why.
I'm on Lemmy.world and I see people talking about Lemmy.ml and Beehaw as being moderated? But I'm not certain - is there a place to review? @ruud@lemmy.world
