Yep, did this, looked great and I loved it. Botw modded was a great experience. Just skipping all those unskippable cutscenes was worth it already. (Teleport animations, sign repair dialogue, etc etc)
Btw, if you look at the thread in question where you were called out for being wrong, all the comments name-calling and bullying you were removed. Moderation doesn't work instantly.

For me, I don't understand this meme, selection seems to work very intuitively, it seems to do what I expect it to do.

I think you agree that communication with your spouse and friends is better in person than online. Otherwise, why do you live together with your spouse? That's the argument of the meet-in-office folks.
However, the difference is that you don't care about or hate your job and/or coworkers. Other people, who push for these meetings, do not feel like this. Hence they enjoy the higher quality of relationship offered by occasional in-person time, but you don't.
I don't think you have to worry too much. A classic gift of a vibrator should probably get your point across and not get misinterpreted.

It's perfectly possible to say "this is unacceptable, we never break userspace. Mauro, your change is obviously what is breaking userspace because ..." without adding "SHUT THE FUCK UP" or "[all of this is] TOTAL CRAP", i.e. being direct without being derogatory.
Just to be clear for everyone here, the mod author effectively stated the goal was to reduce diversity.
There are other mods that change gender of characters that state no such thing, which are still up. It's really only the intent here that mattered.

It's ridiculous how many people completely dismiss something/someone just because of one thing. True, the main Lemmy devs seem to have some very questionable views on some topics. But they also quite obviously care a lot about privacy, free and open platforms, decentralization of power, I've not found any evidence of them censoring or even shittalking any opposing views, and their goal is to have a world where everyone is well taken care of and there's no corporate greed ruining communities.
It's just irrational blind hate because of political disagreement. Politics is the mind-killer.

What is it, othered or isolated? Can't really be both, if you are othered, you're inside society and interacting with it, if you're isolated, you can't be othered because you're isolated and there's no one there to "other" you.
