I see it as more like : these thinga are too dissimilar to be compared meaningfully. Like if some article says which is the best tool? And they give you a rake, a network router, and a nailgun. Then you meed context.
You can make a matrix of differences and similarities but depends what you are trying to compare.
Comparing could be: All are durable, All save time on tasks, All can break with misuse.
But can also be nailgun and router is bad for raking leaves.
Yep, so many clients: I have this problem and an error pops up, I need immediate help.
Me: Ok send me the data and the error log, and a description of what it is telling you on screen.
Client: I forget what it said, i didn't save the log, And i needed to keep working so I deleted the file and started again.
OR
Client: My set of files is doing this, and giving me this specific error.
Me: Ah OK, that is a known issue, close all the fikes and open the top level only, open each sub fike one by one till the error pops up, that will be the culprit so run this clean up tool on that file only.

Week later, Client : Im having that same error again, can you help?
Me: That cleanup tool should have fixed it.
Client: I didn't have time to do those steps so I just kept working as is.

It is way cheaper. two assembly lines to assmebly 2 packs, separate work orders, specific assembly per model ordered ( so customet doesn't pay for low end amd accidentally get highend or vice versa ), CAD and data management of two variations. It is why ModelT only came in black, is streamlines the whole process. You see much simpler examples in other induatries ie. that use stock material. it is cheaper to stock say 3 foot precut lengths and if product only needs 2 feet you chop it off at assembly and throw away the 1 foot scrap, rather than stocking and inventorying 2 foot and 3 foot stocks. Unless you invest in an expensive atock feeder that cuts the stock to length typed in, but that machine isn't mobile so neesa to be placed at the exact location of assembly. And if you need it two places you need two stock machines, so then you start weighing the crude method vs precise
And to rub it it poors faces they toss out half the food because at the high prices it did not get sold in time
2 Single drives means 2 full copies, one you can keep at a friends place. 2 mirrored drives means if you accidentally overwrite a backup, you have lost both drives to the error, unless you have snapshotting or imcremental backups.

Some Pros
Out of the box it has BTRFS snapshotting for every change you make to packages or config. So any problems or mistakes you just rollback a step at boot and if all is good you issue a command to keep that as your default boot.
Yast2 GUI GTK means you have full GUI for admin of everything. If you don't find packages in a repo you can find user package repos or binaries at software.opensuse.org and use Yast1 Click install to add them in. For somebody coming from Windows that doesn't feel confortable in the CLI this can be very helpful.
They have an openbuild service and openQA so a lot of testing is done automatically on packages, together with shared binaries with SUSE means a very stable OS that rarely has issues.
