If you have an android phone you can make a work and home profile so the two sessions are totally separate. It does mean swapping back ans forth between profiles.

The "freedom" convey blocked ottawa streets and shut down businesses for a month, over vaccines. at that stage it was an illegal protest and to force compliance the government froze assets of the major organizers. While it is a scary overreach, the protesters were disrupting residents that lived there with constant honking in the night, the blocking of streets limited emergency workers. They seemed to think they could just do what they wanted, but peaceful protest is impeding traffic temporarily then letting traffic through, the "freedom" people trod over everyone elses freedoms and damaged the economy of that region for a month.

Loblaws has had this for a while, we no longer shop thete, but it was frustrating because an item would fluctuate in price depending in what day you went. No way to budget for random pricing

I hate it so much. I want to do one simple search. Instead I get bullshit ad google links that are irrelevant, then MS MS Edge pushes me into Copilot for more garbage, which I have to mouse out of. Stract has become by search engine to get back the nostalgia of when the web wasn't all shit

Depends on the Union, sadly. My wife was a Union rep, she had a grievence, the higher up union leaders and the employer met ahead of her scheduled meeting and screwed her over in the grievance meeting. I'm not sure if she was more mad at losing the grievance, or having to pay dues to be screwed by the union.

I asked copilot how to turn off copilot, and it responded with "It is probably time to change the question topics"

VMs are a way, but Live USB sticks are better because you will see how it actually runs on your bare metal machine, and if there see any hardware quirks, without comitting to an install

Thankfully GraphenOS and others are maturing very well and will be a good replacement to googles BS. Hopefully they can keep custom versions alive that will support the apps you want
