I completely agree, though in that case I can't see what the advantage would be if you already have Windows, to switch to Linux. It's a challenge, you're going to be constantly looking for alternatives to software you've used for years. Let's face it, the software world is still primarily focused on Windows, and while there are a lot of developer and server packages that Just Work Better(tm) on Linux, but if you're an end user who's only interested in gaming, why bother?

Funny story. I was trying to get RayTracing working under Wine for a few days and finally found the solution (needed to download the nvlibs zip from GitHub and run the installer).

Couple weeks later I went back into Wine and it was broken. After another 3 days of struggling, I decided to redownload nvlibs and run the installer, when I noticed it only symlinks the needed libraries into WINEPREFIX. Me, being the resource miser I am, had removed the folder from ~/Downloads when I thought I was done with it ...

I made the mistake of trying to pacman -S librewolf not realizing it was going to compile from source. An hour later (on my Ryzen 7 5800X) it wasn't finished, so I killed it and installed librewolf-bin.

How fucking bad does your math need to be to not realize that 250k in refunds for a 6 month period where the app is unusable equals 250k in revenue for the first 6 months of the year? All y'all are like "dev needs to eat, he deserves our support!" and the guy's pulling down over 500k/year.
