My son is currently doing A levels, his subjects are Design & Technology, Sociology, Photography & an EPQ.

I'm currently on the lookout for books (anything really)that can help him through these. Is there anyone out there that can recommend books that helped you study those subject areas.

He didn't study Design & Technology at GCSE level so he might need something that covers the fundamentals.

That sounds perfect, thank you so much for your replies & time. I'm gonna give it a go next weekend.

That's the thing that has me worried, deleting partitions. A long time ago (15 years or so) I deleted a partition in windows and it really messed everything up, that's what has made me question whether it is a simple case of just running the Bazzite installer and it holding my hand all the way.

I'm planning on doing it next weekend as this weekend just became busy. No doubt I'll be back here asking more questions.

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far it's been very helpful.

Hi all,

I'm very much a Linux newbie. I originally read that Nobara was great for gaming (and it is) but I've read even better things about Bazzite and want to give it a whirl.

My question is, am I able to download it to a usb and just do a clean install without issues or do I have to do anything beforehand. I originally installed Nobara using btrfs if that makes any difference.

Like I said I'm really new at this, hopefully it's ok to post this here but if not please let me know where would be more appropriate.

They're using a very funny (imo) line from The Life of Brian. They just changed the words.

But are they cheaper than kids?

I don't think AI could do my job effectively and tbh I don't think people would want it too.

Before my daughter was given the libre sensor she would just finger prick at regular intervals to see where her numbers were, there were no warnings or notifications if she was outside her ranges. We've been lucky that when she has a hypo she knows about it due to feeling 'shaky' but if she was hyper she wouldn't know unless she did a finger prick.

The Diabetic team we have moved us away from Libre to a Dexcom G6 which has been great but as another poster has said does throw warnings out every now & again about Battery optimisation & Do not disturb settings.

Just over a month ago my daughter was given a pump made by Insulet and with that you are given an Android phone, that is used purely for controlling the pump and getting readings about her current numbers, it's very locked down. Since she's been using the pump her numbers have been absolutely fantastic, she's very rarely outside of her ranges, not only does her new device beep to alert her that something needs attention but so does the actual pump.

This wouldn't be the first time either. We've had more success with android and sensor readings than with apple. The Diabetic team at our local hospital have sent out 2 warnings that Libre could stop working with Apple when there has been a major update.

We've since moved to a pump which uses a 'phone' and this is android and it's been absolutely life changing for my daughter.

Alot of people with mental health issues would be wandering the streets. Some would simply die at home due to not being able to look after and feed themselves. A fair few would be going around sexually assaulting young girls/boys (not understanding they're adults & it's wrong) and alot would be so pissed off and confused they be trying to kick the shit out of anyone they'd see. The world wouldn't end but it'd be a pain in the arse to navigate.

I know that's the funniest bit for me, like she's not finished.
