Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.

On the stream of the debate I was watching, when they took a break they showed clips from previous debates and the difference was kind of mind-blowing.

I honestly kind of think that even a mid-level candidate who didn't make it like Romney or Kerry probably could have mopped the floor with either one of them.

Also as a side note, how lucky is Donald Trump? Just a whole life of being handed infinite money no matter how many times he fucked up a business, a bewildering assortment of crimes with essentially no hard consequences, and two presidential runs against pretty much the only two people he has any chance of beating in a debate.

He's had a life of almost non-stop softballs. It's kind of wild really.

It's funny how as soon as two competing projects (Life By You and Paralives) start to get closer to release they suddenly care about improving stuff they've ignored for 10 years lol

I know this isn't what this is, but I dream of the day that someone gets hold of the source code for Windows 10/11 and just dumps it onto the internet, and then some other enterprising soul uses it to make a version of Windows that runs all the apps but has all the Microsoft bullshit removed.

I'm sure it'll never happen, but it's nice to think about.

Also, I'd say install Windows first, then Linux. Windows assumes it's the only OS in the universe and tends to steamroll over the whole boot setup, so I've found it much easier to just let Windows do whatever it wants first, then fix it with Linux afterwards.

Darwinism in action I guess...

Yeah that seems like the more likely move, have a free tier that starts off decent and a premium tier with 'power features' or whatever, and then slowly drift almost everything over to the 'premium' tier until in a few years you won't be able to change your desktop wallpaper without paying. That definitely sounds like the MS way to me.

Not exactly a famous person, but I have a somewhat unusual name that happens to be exactly the same as a fairly prolific music executive in my country.

It's kind of a win-win, because it's not someone most people have heard of so I don't get the remarks, but also I'm basically un-Googleable lol

Also, ads are very much "give an inch, take a mile" in nature. Once you open that door and have say a tiny banner ad, then it's like "well that didn't do much harm, let's do a slightly bigger one", then before you know it it you have sponsored posts, sidebar ads, videos and all that nonsense.

It's just one of the avenues where enshittification creeps in IMO.

I do worry about what might happen when he gets too old/decides to step down though.

If Microsoft did somehow end up buying them I might have to just nope out of gaming altogether. Or just take to the high seas I guess.

Looking forward to the eventual open source/Linux version of this lol.

My brain runs Arch BTW
