Thank you good riddence

It was the same with lies of P.. I think it's becoming a trend and someone needs to stop it, it's false advertising. None of the reviews are credible, they're not reviewing the same game

My high school teacher never liked me and most of the time she ignored me and the times she didn't, looked at me like I'm a loser.

I didn't do very well on the big exams (similar to sat) and after few tears I served in the army, I did some courses to raise my grades.

These exams happen to be in my high school with all the 12th graders, and so I was sitting there and waiting for the exam to start and then I saw her peaking from the door after years I didn't see her.

She got in and called my name with a huge smile on her face saying "I knew I would see you here some day".

I'll never forgot this mean smile and I have to say, this smile really helped me on hard times at the university. It kept me motivated.

This was 13 years ago and today I have a bs.c. In computer science and working at as technical team lead in a big software company, managing engineers.

I sometimes remembering this and smile to myself. I don't think she knows what I'm doing today, but the fact that I know I made it, gives me comfort

This season was great a lot of original content and this one topped all of the..I really loved this season and I feel like it lives up to the old episodes. I really don't understand the bad reviews.

[-] DeriHunter@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

It feels like I'm the only enjoying this season. I think they're doing great job and the episodes really funny! I agree that this one was a weird one and trippy as fuck but it was really original and I caught myself laughing several times. The main story was less good, but I feel like they wanted to put weight on the short ones. Also this is the second time that we see that a character is cheating and it's starting to get annoying. This is the only criticize I have

I went to an interview once, got there 15 minutes early so the secretary told my that I got early and the interviewer is nit ready, which is of course fine by me. She told me to sit somewhere and wait. I waited 45 minutes (30 minutes after the interviews should have started) and than just walked a way. On the way out the secretary ask me where I'm going I told her that it's rude to keep me waited like this and I'm not interested. She tried to convince me and went to get the interviewer, but went anyway when she done that.

Some people think their time is more valuable than others

Serious question: I know that there are tracking cookies and the user should be able to decline those, but most sites have an auth cookie that stores you're credentials. The devs can store it in a different place like local storage but thats really unsecured.what can the devs do in this situation when the user decline all cookies?

I'm looking for a distro recommendation for development needs.

I have a 16gb ram pc and using docker and k3s to run my code, and multiple intellijs on a linux vmware vm (my host is windows) which eats a lot of ram. I tried ubuntu, Debian and xubuntu.

Most of them didn't handle my ram consumptions, xubuntu is good but I'd like to know if there's a better one for my needs.

We released a game with a huge bug, but it's your fault that you take advantage of it. Imagine paying $70 at least only to be baned because of this bs

Hi guys, I'm on lemmy since the reddit api announcement and am subscribed to tens of communities. When I'm setting my feed to watch topics only from Subscribed communities (hot/active), I see a lot of topics from the same communities, like 10 topics in a row from 1 community then 3 from a different one and again from the first one. My point is that I want to get diversed topic from all subscribed communities ( I know there are new and hot topics there) and not seeing repeated communities only. Is there a way to make some communities show less topics or make the feed more diverse (other than I subscribe to the loud ones) ?

I'm trying to run a development project on a vm, my vm has Debian 12 and has 8gb ram and I'm running 2 intellij projects + mysql in docker and my vm freezes completely ti the point I need to reset my pc. Anyone has suggestions how to avoid tha without increasing memory? I feel like that a small project like that should hold 8 gb memory

Here we go, we are one month from the new season and it's a great time to revisit the must see episodes of Futurama. What episodes are must see before the new season drop in your opinion?

Hi I'm unable to log in via browser on multiple PCs and on the new liftoff for lemmy app. When I put the user/password, it just hangs. Thank God I was able to log in with jerboa when I joonrd

Is there a fix for that? Also, sorry of this was already answered. I tried to search for it but couldn't find any thing and we still don't have posts search

I had a feeling they'll put something like this, so I went in every now and then to see how infinity will react. I really loved the app, devs did an amazing job

Hi, it might be against what most people feel and think right now but I feel that it needs to be said.

I come from rational place even though I currently hate reddit and removed it completely from my devices, but I'm not going to delete my posts or nuke my comments.

Like it or not Reddit is still a huge database for a lot of solutions and great posts and discussions about opinions, reviews, how-to and many many more. Lemmy will take time to keep the pace and be filled with these types of content. And it might might take years to get to it (I really hope it will).

Deleting and nuking posts and comments are only distroy what we and the entire reddit community built over the years and it will be a huge loss for all of us.

If you ask me, the best way to say 'fuck you' to reddit, is keep all the old Content there, try to migrate as much as we can here and from now on build this content here. When/if Lemmy be mature enough we can go back and fuck everything up on reddit.

This is my 2 cents.

Hi guys, every time I'm trying to post something I get timeouts, I don't see it anywhere, but I get messages that people commenting on that. Doed it happe to anyone else?

As someone who's very excited about the new season, as most of the people here I guess, I'm really happy that we get to see the gang again and mostly I feel like it's going to be as epic as it was.

But the history teaches us that spins offs, remake and a long breaks changes things. Cast, directories, etc AR not at the same place they were back then and people change.

What do you think?

As the title said, I' going through the feed and new posts are adding pushing what I read down, which is annoying, is there a way to stop this?
