This tool is great! Thanks for creating it and making it public.

Also, is this the first Lemmy Hug of Death? If so, congrats, I think?

Gotta hide from the monsters by making sure you're under or inside the duvet! It's perfectly rational.

The Back to the Future trilogy. It'd only be a slight exaggeration to say I've watched those movies hundreds of times.

I would follow any and all life advice from this old man.

Um, red? You might want to see a doctor about that...

I'm half her age and I don't recover from falls and injuries anywhere near as quickly as I did in my younger days. I can barely wrap my brain around how frail a 90 year old must be.

Agreed on Persona 5, and I really need to play Persona 4 (it's on my list but stupid life gets in the way).

Two other picks:

  1. The original Lunar: The Silver Star on SegaCD. I never played the remakes on other systems but I know they changed significant parts of the soundtrack in those games, while the SegaCD version just hit perfectly for me.

  2. Final Fantasy Tactics. One of the few soundtrack CDs I imported when those were a thing and could listen to and instantly recall fond memories of playing the game.

If I'm not mistaken Sync's dev is a relatively young guy (I recall reading he was a student a few years back) which likely means he hasn't experienced the joys of vision going downhill with age like many of us old farts have.

Amen. Not so much an issue for 40 year old me but I had so many friends in my younger days who didn't own one because they didn't think they needed it...until they needed it.

I was very happy with Voyager which is great for a PWA but I'm in utter awe at how good the Sync beta is. I was expecting a minimum viable product that still needed a lot of updates but it's amazingly polished from the start and basically works exactly as the Reddit version did. It's always good to have options and I'm glad the Lemmy app scene seems to be flourishing.

I knew Sydney winters were mild compared to a place like Chicago but I still packed a few warm hoodies thinking it would be chilly. I definitely didn't need them except a few nights when the temperature actually did drop.

Loved the city and surrounding areas we visited but if that's your winter, I'm not sure I'd survive a summer visit.
