No, he is not the owner of Mastodon. No, his company is not responsible for what happens there, because there is no company or similar. A non-profit foundation (chaired by Eugen Rochko) develops the software and launches it on mastodon.social, and that foundation does not even participate in what the rest of the instances do. They could go crazy tomorrow, sell the domain or change the software to make it more invasive, the rest of the instances would be sent to hell and the network would continue as if nothing had happened

It has a single owner who makes the decisions and makes profitable the contributions of the users. It is a social media model that has been over for me for some time now, if they are open the better for them, I am not going to join anyway.

Try a file app that allows you to view local network devices. If not, with a little more configuration you can find out about Kodi or Plex

Yes, well, I understand that there is nothing "official", I was asking more about the uses and customs accepted by the community in general.

Political parties that pay more attention to their voters than to the rich? Yes, many. Parties that fulfill that and are electorally successful? None or almost

It's true, I shouldn't have said we have, I should have said we had. Since the 80s, everything has been dismantled, making everything worse, both right and left. Comparing ourselves to other parts of the world we are not so bad, but comparing my living conditions with those of my parents it is shameful.

Oh, I thought you were an American worried about how you look outside and I was trying to calm you down. I respect your perspective of course, but it seems to me that a failed state is a bit exaggerated for this, Somalia or Yemen are still a little worse than the USA in the comparison. Authoritarian, close to breaking up as a nation, things like that I think are closer to reality, that is my vision also from the outside, I could be wrong and you may be closer to reality.

Well, I'm not a big comic reader but that's what the story with Lex Luthor is about, right? how all of Superman's immense power is useless against the intelligence of a rich and evil man. I think that is the most famous antagonist and that has transcended the comics the most for a reason. Maybe for fans it's doomsday or zod, but for casual readers and the general public it is lex and it is for good reason.

In 2010 they had a coalition government made up of Torys and Liberals, in Great Britain the executive power is not just the Prime Minister, it is the entire Council of Ministers and it was not made up only of Torys. Obviously a coalition government is not possible in the American system, but a third party being influential in the cameras is and I still don't see because it is impossible

I know and understand the difference between parliamentarism and presidentialism, but I am not talking about the election of presidents exclusively, I am talking about the political system of the country in general. If 20~30% of the chambers are in the hands of a third party, the country becomes more plural and public debates better represent opinions and I don't understand why that is not possible.

I'm not an English speaker but I think "controversial" is an understatement to describe it.

As a European I do not fully understand the implications of all this, but the image it gives is that you are leading the country to chaos. You have half a country made up of MAGA crazy people and well, if you were all like that, then total madness but the country would remain functional, but it is only half, so paralysis and chaos. I wish you luck and that at some point you can redirect the most basic consensus
