Therein lies the crux of the situation. On one hand she is absolutely right. As in Africa, Global South countries are reacting to economic outreach from China and Russia because a) they need it and America (private nor public) isn't in the game and b) help from China and Russia doesn't appear to come with as many strings as U.S. assistance might demand.

it would be funny if they help global South countries build up productive forces, but that goes against everything U.S. is about. America doesn't even have a domestic Marshall plan.

An organization can, therefore, not forbid people who want to participate to express themselves. It is unacceptable that people who want to carry a flag should not be allowed to do so

Nazi flags are alright then?

The Israeli flag should be kept in the same category as the Nazi flag tbh.

The first Trump administration stress-tested the bonds between the U.S. and its allies, particularly in Europe. Trump derided the leaders of some friendly nations, including Germany’s Angela Merkel and Britain’s Theresa May, while praising authoritarians such as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He has called China’s Xi Jinping “brilliant” and Hungary’s Viktor Orbán “a great leader.”

This is so stupid. Trump was the one who started a trade war with China. Him praising Xi doesn't mean shit.

Secondly, despite claiming to be anti-west, Erdogan and Orban are both pro-West allies and will fall in line under pressure. Both countries are NATO members too btw. Why is such a democratic organization like NATO having "authoritarian" countries as members?

Also why is there no mention of Modi? Both Biden and Trump have been more than friendly with him.

Trump's Israel policy is no different. He is more belligerent towards Iran.

In campaign speeches, Trump remains skeptical of organizations such as NATO, often lamenting the billions the U.S. spends on the military alliance whose support has been critical to Ukraine’s fight against Russia’s invasion.

Rhetoric and actions are entirely different. Trump knows very well that Ukraine War is ultimately beneficial for the U.S. and the MIC.

Another thing to keep in mind, U.S. is NATO, without the U.S there is no NATO.

He warned: “We must realize that the EU cannot be an economic and civilizational giant and a dwarf when it comes to defense, because the world has changed.”

That has been the status of Europe since end of cold war, a puppet of American capitalism, nothing more. And nothing will change unless there is a socialist revolution or something.

What makes a 'country' is and itself very complicated. I do not believe Israel would want diplomatic relations with countries which sanction it.

ISIS was a 'state' at its peak and held control over territories but no one else had any formal diplomatic ties with them because everyone rightfully recognized them as an unlawful terrorist state. Is Israel really that different? Israel has shown blatant disregard for any peace plans whether its 1967 or Oslo. There are good reasons to not recognize Israel even though it holds territory.

Also, just because two countries have no formal diplomatic relations doesn't mean they can't have interactions. Look at USSR and Israel in this example

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1988_Ordzhonikidze_bus_hijacking

They were extradited to the Soviet Union and sentenced to prison terms, although at that time Israel and the Soviet Union had no extradition treaty as relations were still severed at the time. All hostages were released.

I think they should try and be as surgical as possible

How about this, remove the blockade on Gaza, give everyone there citizenship and become a secular state.

like they did in previous rounds of fighting

When has Israel not leveled civilian buildings? Have you not seen charts comparing Israeli casualties to Palestinian ones?

I can understand that Israel is angry, and rightfully so

I think Palestinians should be the ones who should be angry for the way Israel has treated them since inception.

At least four people were wounded, none critically, in a shooting at Morgan State University in Baltimore on Tuesday, according to authorities, who urged students to take shelter on the campus of the historically Black college.

No one dead, Americans won't care.

what do you mean 300 deaths isn't in any way comparable to thousands/millions of deaths during the Holocaust, Aremnian genocide, Bengal famine, Operation Condor or Japanese occupation?
