Only consider CalyxOS and GrapheneOS. Ideologues will push you exclusively towards GrapheneOS but it's not th be-all solution for all people that they think it is. My current and previous phone are GrapheneOS. It's fine. It does what I want. I don't find it amazing only because it's a phone, not a new discovery. I use GrapheneOS with F-Droid with all anti-features disabled in F-Droid settings and I have all the apps I need.

Lineage will likely wirk with random phones, that dosn't mean it's quality. I say, if a phone OS works on LG, Samaung, Nokia, and a Chinese company phone, I don't trust the stability of the OS.

I see the name e/OS around, I don't hear it ever mentioned in public discussions, I think it's for Fairphone or one of those gimmick name phones.

I've never heard of DivestOS before you mentioning it.

Go through Brax's videos and see if he ever shows how to do anything or if he nly talks about it but never gives instructions. There are random no name channels that show how to flash ROMs, what does Brax show?

Look at his website, does that look like it was made by someone within th past 25 years?

Apparently he has some kind of an APK file to install, how easy is it to find and what is the date of the last release?

Does he always sell out of phones, or were they never available for public buyers? Where is his ordering page? Does the order page say sold out or is there no ordering website?

My point being, add up all of the evidence and comapred it to random websites that list which used phones they sell, compare to the amount of random videos that walkthrough how to to flash a ROM, I say Brax starts to look like a con who doesn't know tech, only parrots what he reads. Compare his website to free wsbsite builders, see which looks like more recent designs and web technologies.

Does anyone having experience using Seers Lodge for chatting/messaging?

I noticed it in F-Droid and I'm wondering if it's worth a try since it uses the Tox protocol so I just it for secueity.

I am already well versed and experienced in using SimpleX all the time, calm down, I'm always interested in other libre/free messaging app options as well for 1-to-1 direct messaging

Yes, plugin ethernet, install updates, unplug ethernet, never connect it to wi-fi, there is no risk to privacy.

Are people aware that they can buy a smart TV and never conntect it to wi-fi and never plug in the ethernet? There is no risk if TV never gets an IP.

Is that the same as the misnomer or fallacy that privacy is dead?

It would be good to sell the codebase for Chrome, if it actually happens.

Here's a thought expirement, what would be more devastating, selling Chrome and losing all of that tracking and ad revenue, or being to change to GPLv3 license and make chromium or Chrome libre/free software? I say GPLv3 because version 2 does allow linking to binary blobs, version 3 does not. I would predict that Chromium GPLv3 would instantly rule the entire internet and bethe de facto browser on any operating syatem.

Why do you people talk about defending and supporting democracy, but never talk about that the population has a right to vote for anti-government people? Democracy is about following the will of the people, and if the majority of the people vote to cut government, eliminate government, and start taking powers away from government rule, democracy says to follow the vote of the people.

Over time I've grown very concerned about non-FOSs simply due to constant datamining. Including for products people buy, they still want customers to install a proprietary app and register the product with serial, name, etc, for extra functionality. So on a phone, I have hard restrictions on what I refuse to install so that no apps have access to anything on phone or how I use it.
