I used to have teacher who deliberately made disproportionate diagrams. His reasoning was that people trust too much what their eyes see and not enough what the numbers tell them. He would've loved that diagram.

Can he be swapped? I thought the reason Biden got swapped is because he wasn't locked in yet, but now the candidates are locked in.

I think diamonds get a bad rep because of shitty companies like De Beers who artificially pump up the price of diamonds. I don't think anyone would have an issue with diamonds if their price range was comparable to amethyst and made ethically.

Biden at least tries to save some face, as evident from the recent cease fire push. Trump doesn't give two shits about optics and would instantly give Israel whatever they want and publicly back then up. It won't get much worse, because it's already so bad it's hard to get much worse, but it will get worse under Trump.

It's like people have completely forgotten that fact. That snippet was at the very end of a 30 minute Bethesda presentation that had Fallout 76 with its multiplayer being a significant move away from their traditional formula, Elder Scrolls Blades (which is a mobile game nobody remembers) and the reveal of Starfield, a completely new franchise. Of course fans are going to question where is TES 6.

And a few months later Blizzard showed what happens when you don't tease Diablo 4 after revealing Diablo immortal.

You do know the R in GDPR literally stands for Regulation? There's already a regulation that chatGPT should follow but deliberately doesn't. Your idea isn't to regulate, it's to get rid of regulation so that you could keep using your tool.

This is why I have no faith in AM becoming a top team. Lance is good enough to be a F1 driver, but he isn't good enough to be a championship winning driver. Even if AM had the best car on the grid, they couldn't win the WCC because Lance would still struggle to get the necessary points.

Building the team around your weakest link means the team will never be strong.

I think it depends. I've had a non-technical PM and he was great. He knew he knew nothing about development and as such did what great managers do, create an environment where we could work as efficiently as we could. If we said it takes X amount of time he wouldn't try to squeeze out a faster deadline, he'd report "it will take X amount of time". If we said it's unreasonably to take feature Y in he'd say we're not going to take feature Y in.

IMO it's much harder with PMs who did some development 20 years ago and "know how things are done". The ones with some technical knowledge almost always butt in.

Yes, but let's do shitting on countries one at time. I'm not saying this is happening here, but it feels like every time someone is talking shit about Russia someone else jumps in with "what about Israel" as an attempt to divert the discussion away from Russia.

I get Isreal also sucks but we're shitting on Russia here. You can shit on Isreal in the plethora of other threads about the shit Isreal does. You don't need to pull a Jehovas witness and use every opportunity to talk about Isreal.

Proton or Valve won't magically make anti-cheat working on Linux. I do most of my gaming now on Linux, but for specific games I still boot into Windows.

These changes tend to be global because it's cheaper to make the change for everyone than have two different designs and manufacturing (one for EU and other for the rest of the world). And more often than not EU is too big of a market to ignore.

Absolutely. All you have to ask is why they need to own a truck and they instantly get overly defensive. I'm not saying there aren't cases where you need to own truck but the vast majority of cases people bring up don't even require a truck much less owning one.
