It's called xenophobia, the fear and dislike of anything foreign. Some people believe that if your group isn't dominant it will be dominated, and peaceful coexistence isn't possible between different groups.

These people are afraid that, if the English language isn't forced onto other people, one day other people will force a foreign language onto them.

I saw one commentator explain that when you buy a business it could be for various reasons, but it really seems that Elon had no reasons at all.

You can buy it for its infrastructure, but Elon downsized most of Twitter's infrastructure. It could be for the staff, but Elon fired most of the staff. It can be for the code, but Elon wants a total rewrite. It could be for brand recognition, but Elon changed the name and logo.

At this point, the only thing left is users who are forced to see his posts. He spent $44 billion on followers.

One time a girl in my computer class kept asking me for help. She'd ask me to stand behind her and point to where she should click. She asked if the view was nice, which was weird since it's just a computer screen. Eventually, she decided I should move her hand while it was still on the mouse. That happened a lot and I always thought "wow this girl really doesn't get computers."

I was in my late 20s before I realized she wanted me to look down her top and touch her hand. She must have been thinking "wow this guy really doesn't get women"

Every country has problems but for most of these countries it's to be expected. A small country with unstable politics and a developing economy is bound to have issues. The USA is a global superpower with immense influence on the world stage and quadruple the money of the next richest country, yet it struggles with problems most advanced nations have a handle on.

Women dying during childbirth. Adults being illiterate. Cops killing and abusing power. Most of America's peers don't have these issues. America is ranked next to small third world countries in these stats and many more. America isn't mocked because it has problems. It's mocked because it has problems it really shouldn't have.

The wedding photographer we used still uses our shots in promotional materials. I'm flattered! But the marriage ended just months after those pictures were taken because I found out she was having an affair.

A large portion of art/artifacts are forgeries. Everyone is alright with it because galleries and collectors want to brag about having some unique old art piece and forgers are very good at making pieces that would fool anyone who is just looking at it.
