He locked himself out of his house and crawled up on his roof to try to get in a window, but all of the windows were locked. He tried to get back down and the ladder toppled. He fell 12 ft and had curled into a ball to protect his head and torso, but his arms were shattered. He's lucky he got away without a concussion or broken ribs.

The OLED model has a special Bluetooth module that can wake the system from standby. This causes excessive power drain. You can try disabling Bluetooth if you're not using any Bluetooth accessories.

There was a Breaking Bad ( or maybe Better Call Saul?) Episode where a character was hauled in for questioning and the only reply he would give was "Lawyer." That's exactly what someone should do in that situation.

Agreed. The modern internet is so locked down that it's difficult to find those kind of fun, niche communities. Lemmy has a similar feeling at least.

  1. Joe gives Kevin $1mil worth of Cocaine.
  2. Joe draws an ape in MS paint.
  3. Kevin buys the digital ape drawing from Joe for $1mil in Bitcoin.

That is how you launder money with art and Bitcoin.

I disagree, used products should get the OEM warranty just the same. The unit is the same age regardless.

Theft is the big issue here. Steam should have the ability to blacklist units just the same as cellphones, but at the same time, buyers need to have the ability to check for theft at the time of purchase via serial number.

I wish the article specified whether downloadable images of pizza actually sold for thousands of dollars or whether they were simply listed for that much. Like I can put my toenail clippings up on eBay with a $1000 price tag but it doesn't mean people are buying them.

I can't wait til we as a society get over shaming small dicks. I don't have a dick but it's cringy to me when people use "small dick" as an insult like this.

Wake me up when he's behind bars. I've been holding my breath for so long that I'm braindead.

Personally I just befriended the cyber security girl who monitors traffic. Told her the other day that I forgot my earbuds and she unblocked YouTube so I could use my work headset for lofi hip-hop beats to study/relax to. She made sure Reddit was unblocked for me too. I figure if I bake her some cookies or fresh bread she might let me install hearthstone next.

Ironically I think that would be a great approach - give tax breaks to businesses that have fully remote workers. It would save the environment, reduce traffic, reduce the cost of renting an apartment in downtown areas, bolster suburban and rural towns, and provide a higher quality of life to the middle class. The only way to get businesses onnoard willingly is by offering a monetary incentive.

It ain't pretty, but here's how I got through it until I started bringing in good money:

  1. No takeout or eating out ever
  2. Get a water filter pitcher and a nice water bottle. Drink only water.
  3. Every paycheck, take out $200 or whatever you can afford. This is your "fun and gas" money. Your gas, hobbies, social life, and dating comes out of this fund. Whatever is leftover when your next paycheck hits goes into savings.
  4. If you can rent a physically smaller place, do so. It will save on utilities.
  5. Don't buy a car unless public transportation or biking is not viable in your area.
  6. Meal plan with the goal of zero food waste. So if you plan to buy an onion and will use half of it in one meal, make sure you have another meal planned that week that uses the other half. Do this with every ingredient. If you're careful and creative you should never have to throw away food. - On this note, get good at cooking. It's much cheaper to cook from scratch.
  7. Cancel your streaming services and learn to pirate safely.

This works but isn't a great way to live. You need to combine it with a plan to either make more money or relocate to a cheaper area while maintaining your current income.
