My own first name Mark, Firstly it is supposed to be spelled Marc as according to my mother I was named after Marc Bolan but they wrote it with a K on the birth certificate. Secondly it just doesn't feel like it suits me, I have no idea what alternative I would pick though. Maybe I just don't feel comfortable being called by my name no matter what it is :)
I hate that many people idolise other people.
It's possible to like some of the work of somebody without idolising them and blindly listening to or following absolutely everything they do.
Best I can offer is a static variable in my next coding round.
British, Yes, Most people here can, In fact in my 47 years I have only met 2 people who had automatic only licences. And I ran a garage for 7 years so met a lot of drivers. I have personally only owned manuals and haven't done more than 100 miles in Automatics.
3/4 of the team I am on work from home, 2 of us full time, We have weekly scheduled meetings with no agenda other than to catch up and this is where ideas can come up, We haven't all been in an office together since before the lockdown yet we continue to thrive. I also have most of each Friday blocked out to work with one of the team on whatever he happens to be working on that day. We just jump in a meeting and do stuff. And like you we are all open to just spontaneous chats at any time either by text or call. It works perfectly well.
I guess you also have those chats where you pull other people in during the conversation, Oh, Suchandsuch will have input, send them an invite to this meeting etc :)
I love it, I get peace and quite when needed to code, and all the interaction I need to make the job work.
Maybe he went through the cockpit window as the plane hit the ground.
I actually stopped using google search all together last night, I was searching for something and the result where just abysmal and mostly irrelevant, I searched on DuckDuckGo and found much better results. I was using both, Google used to be so good and now it's just a mess.
It's the main reason I use it... I thought that was the point :)
I have to change annually as I don't do the mileage, If I did a 6k change on my Skyline it would be every 10 years... LOL. I use my T3 a lot more but still can't get anywhere near the distance, So once a year at some point (Usually just after an MOT) I just service them.
That sounds good, I hope we can get it in the UK.
Firefox, DuckDuckGo, Protonmail is my setup. I am slowy getting away from Google and all massive corps tbh, I'm spending more time on my Linux partition too.
"Auxiliary light on"
I guess they use that to trigger the drop.
