There's still an enormous amount of great content on youtube. You don't need to watch the commercial shit.

DACs in phones these days are totally fine these days. There really isn't any need for an external one unless you need to drive higher impedance cans. Quality-wise, they're totally fine.

As if anyone uses threads.

Both are totally legitimate interpretations. It doesn't specify what they're talking about beyond "people in China" which can either mean individually or collectively. It's meant to be a trick question, though, which is why it's worded so ambiguously.

I'm not saying people didn't share videos beforehand, but youtube created a platform that allowed people to do it more easily, be discovered more easily, and actually make a decent living through it. The internet landscape, especially in respect to influencers or content creators, is entirely different now than it was in the 90's.

make so video posters can’t delete comments

That would be a complete trainwreck. There are already loads of spam accounts but it would be so much worse if creators couldn't filter them out.

Absolutely agree. He's one of the channels I've watched for the longest. Been subscribed since probably 2011 or so. His videos are just so wholesome and it always makes my day when he uploads. Absolutely recommend if people are into minecraft survival content.

Uber isn't a taxi company. They don't own a fleet. They're a company that makes an app.

Most people spend more money on things that they get less out of. Sure, $20 is a lot compared to many other smartphone apps but you could also easily blow the same amount, if not more, on lunch or something like that. If you like the app and intend on using it, spending $20 to support the dev really isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. I do understand that with exchange rates, the equivalent to 20 USD in many countries is prohibitively expensive but LJ said he's working on regional pricing.

That's one of the big things I'm hoping will be implemented. Not sure how feasible it is to include support for every instance, though. Hopefully all the major ones cataloged on the lemmy site are possible to do.

Eh. I disagree. If you look at /r/politics it's like 90% neoliberals commenting.

You just just subscribe and then immediately cancel the subscription in the play store just like any other play store subscription service.
