This is such an unbelievably naive take. People's time is worth something. Relying just on donations from a small percentage of users here and there is not going to cut it for someone who is developing the software full time.
He didn't want to buy Twitter. He lost a lawsuit that forced him to buy it. None of it goes that deep.
Shortcut for anyone who wants to disable it:
Plenty of small quality of life features that sync for reddit had which jerboa doesn't. Posting from alt accounts from the comment window, extensive customization options, material design UI, different themes and settings for different accounts, and plenty of others that I don't remember off the top of my head.
Jerboa is by no means bad but as a long time sync user, I'm really excited to have the familiarity of sync back.
It's the same UI experience as the reddit version so I don't see any reason to not be excited about it.
