I avoid Sony altogether nowadays.

They pulled linux off the PS3. Then years later I bought a Sony XZ Premium phone and they removed screen sharing Miracast from that.

Fooled me twice. No more shame on me.

I'm certifiably insane, have a doctorate in frustration, and many studies published of "Oh, fuck, what is this? I don't have time for this now, I have shit to get done".

Good luck.

A good engineer prepares for every use case.

What normally happens is that the engineer will raise the corner cases and then be told that will never happen and they must not prepare for those use cases. Also, they can now deliver a week earlier.

All my drives are nvme* now.

I feel so much safer punching in of=/dev/sdaX

Can I shorten that and just call it a lemmy?

Yep, even says in the article 'destroy or de-identify'. So, they will summarize or transform/anonymize the data and just throw away the source.

It's kind of funny.

They treat them like royalty. Even more royal than royals are treated.

I had a work colleague who had a spreadsheet with one column calculating something to do with a particular date. They didn't have any formulas at all. For any calculations. They would go in each day and manually calculate and then type in the values. In every cell.

I put in an input cell date, and simplest of formulas in 3 cells, and they looked at me like I was some kind of wizard.

I returned to my desk, put my head in my hands in sheer shock. I still don't understand what they thought a spreadsheet was for....It made.nice columns?

Anyways, when I recovered, I finished my resignation letter,.and that was the best thing I ever did in that particular cesspool 😁

Why wouldn't I browse html files on the device that is the most portable and conveniently always by my side? When I may not have internet access?

One file that I use constantly is a simple html file which sends tasmota URLs to control my smart devices. Who needs apps? lol. I also frequently refer to personal wiki html files on my devices. And there's a few html manuals I need to refer to...

Firefox on Android removed the feature to open local html files. No, I'm not interested in running a webserver on a phone for local files lol.

Switched to Vivaldi.

Well, it's because after using the system for only a few minutes, I realise it's not quite right, and I'll have to spend a few weeks to set it up again!
