If you try to assassinate someone, get F'd, but I mean she clearly is biased for Trump so he doesn't NOT have a point.

An 87 year old man using a slur, I feel like you get a slight pass sometimes for being old and not knowing a formerly-commonly-used word has become derogatory.

But he used it, got called out, issued an apology, and then used it again. Yikes.

I really like my job but if they started monitoring my data like that I'd absolutely quit. There's already a monitoring mechanism, it's called your boss needing you to complete tasks on time. If you're doing that, the only thing data monitoring does it falsely call out people who are doing their work.

It's shrewd for a totally different reason. Trump told them not to pass this bill, Johnson says it's DOA in the Republican House. So now Trump and the Republican House are arguing against closing the border.

If any Republican says Biden is for open borders he can just say "I had a bipartisan deal for closing the border and Trump and the Republicans killed it."

Pelosi had to actually pass legislation so she needed every vote by hook or by crook, and AOC was among the crowd that needed to be cajoled often.

Jeffries has only been in leadership as the minority leader so he can just oppose most legislation from the Republican House, and it's not like AOC is going to want to somehow oppose it even harder. He doesn't need to do the cajoling.

"Your candidate is making assertions that make him sound like a genocidal fascist, any comment?"

critics “who try to make that ridiculous assertion" [...] "their entire existence will be crushed"

...K.

No reason to stop raising prices for any business, except for the fact that demand goes down as price goes up. People will cancel or downshift to a cheaper service.

I used to use Mint before they got acquired, I stopped in 2012ish for security concerns because back then the way you connected was just giving them your password.

Also it broke all the time and my student loans got stuck while my checking accounts didn't so it ruined my net worth chart which was like 80% of why I liked it.

But, shame it's shutting down even if I didn't like it I'm sure it was useful to others.

The 8000th "Covid killed cities" article, just shifting the goalposts and jumping around to different cities with different metrics out of context to make it seem worse than it is.

Peter Singer the "father of the animal rights movement" and really interesting philosopher, is I think a vegan but he argues for a disclosure number on eggs and chicken saying how many chickens there were per acre, because he argues that IF the chickens lived a happy life and were killed without distress, it's ethical to eat them, and at some really low density the evidence shows they are happy.

He also makes a claim that there are circumstances where it's ethical to eat meat like if the airplane serves you the wrong meal and if you reject it they will throw it away, because the animal is already dead and your decision doesn't incentivize more death, and demanding a new meal wastes food.

So, that's what living true values sounds like to me. Not picking a rule and sticking by it, but taking each decision and weighing it against your values.

As others are reporting, he also said he would have certified the results.

So he's mostly trying to have both ways.
