Facebook's AI search suggestions are crazy. Just saw one suggesting I might want to look for "mayo related customer service stories".
My much-used travel mug developed a minor leak which caused it to drip on me every time I drank from it. I ordered a replacement yesterday (the exact same model) and thanks to the wonders of Amazon it was delivered today. The wonders of the modern age.
I had a dream last night that the woman buying my sewing machine on Marketplace accidentally gave me way too much money (like a couple of thousand instead of a hundred). I knew the right thing to do was to let her know and give the extra cash back, but holding a big wad of money was way too tempting. I was still wrestling between my decision as to whether to do the right thing or keep the money when I woke up.
Mr Woof has taken to providing a full turndown service for my bed each night. This involves piling the doona up at the foot of my bed and curling up on top of it.
I thought I had a nasty patch of dry skin on the back of my hand, but it turned out to be dried remnants of the icing from my morning tea.
I just accidentally replied to a work text message in all caps. Realised just as I hit send. oops. Maybe I can blame the cat.
They keep replaying it over and over on the TV. Disappointingly they miss every single time.
Decided to call in sick for tomorrow. The de-toothified area is quite painful and swollen - I think I'd be fine working in a standard office job, but having to speak all day with a sore mouth does not sound fun. The dental surgeon was a bit confusing about his recommendations for time off - verbally he told me I'd be fine to go back to work almost straight away, but he wrote me a certificate for three days off.
The countown is on for my de-toothing. About an hour to go. Hopefully it will be fairly straightforward, but those back molars can be a bit stubborn - and last time I had a tooth in poor condition removed it splintered in to lots of pieces and was an absolute mess to get out.
I have given myself permission to sook about it for at least tonight and tomorrow. I may also decide to aquire icecream, although with the current temperatures may just decide to increase my custard intake.
My dental checkup this morning led to two fillings as well. One of them is just a fairly short term fix and I'll need to look at a crown when it fails. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the dental surgeon, who will be removing a broken tooth, before doing two implants in a couple of months.
I've been saving up towards all this for a while, but the money is going to be disappearing very quickly. The decision to sign up for extras on the health insurance again was definitely a good one - stretching the timeframe for getting the crowns over a couple of years will mean I'm getting more back than I have paid in premiums for at least 3 years, four if the filling today lasts long enough.
Op Shops seem to have stupid pricing these days. They have so much stuff being donated that they dont always even accept donations, and then instead of putting reasonable prices on things to sell quickly they mark it up so much it's often not worth buying.
