I use iceshrimp. I think lemmy is missing a lot from hashtag.

As i see :

Lemmy is not part of the fediverse but a lemmyverse. It lacks connection with other software and other software lacks connection to lemmy. I think we need to build a bridge between microblog and forum.

In the french fediverse community, our main base of users come from mastodon. And i would like to reach them.

I saw, in activitypub the ability to share and post whatever is your software. A complete freedom where you just need one account.

There is differents purpose, but i do think offering people both is good : microblog and forum. And i think the fediverse will slowly move toward that. With a UI for individual and other for community.

And hashtags do both :

  • It allows post to be discoverable by other apps in the fediverse.
  • It allows people to search and find any post of comment on a related topic.

So, i think piefed will grow a lot.

True. I think Lemmy can greatly benefit from it and take some inspirations from Sublinks. For now there is a lack of developpers that know rust even tough this programming language is trending.

It would ease up their work and improve their communication. :)

With your great suggestion, i got an idea for lemmy software : why not activate vote only to subscribed community ? You haven't subscribed, you can't vote. But you can hide /filter the community.

The frontpage also need a rework because when you cross-post it flood thus people tend to downvote those posts. And lot other things.

Thank, i'm not well versed on the technical side but jerboa and thunder handle them and have a way to detect them then remove the arrow.

It seems manageable ?

Very cool, thank for the lesson 😁👍

So we should adopt UK plug as long it's not the driver's rule.

They are as an inverted pic of french civilisation. For example their food 😋 (i'm joking)

Dunno, probably a new standard. Or a standarised battery ? I'm mot an expert in this area.

I think thats a good opportunity to slow technology and focus on our earth ressource management and waste. We can wait 20 years before buying new machine and set up new standard ? Then every producers test and create new prototype in their lab along technological foundation to help with their research ?

I apologize, i tought the post was published on one of the french lemmy's intance jlai.lu. That's strange because i'm not subcribed to this community...Well, i just replied without checking first.

I wondered who was the president during Rwanda's genocide in 1994. And it was Mitterand, a socialist. (Which surprise me a lot, usually right president are the worst). During my childhood there weren't any history lesson on Rwanda yet.

According to the newpapers Le Point, Mitterand knews along few people and continued taking bad decision altough some people warned him about the Rwanda current regime and risk.

Yes and i didn't reinvent the whell. However, I still remind people to do backup accross those devices. It's not news but it's not well applied by lot people, so i would hardcode it into the OS.

  • Do you have a phone ?

  • Please scan qr code

  • Choose folders

  • Do you have a mass storage device ?

  • Connect it

  • Chose folders

  • Warning : you haven't setup any backup

  • Warning : your last backup was last week. please connect your mass storage device to save your backup.

So, for something new, i would like to improve those utilities/tools and expand their use.
